Premiere: 13.01.2022, Gallus Theatre Reworked: 19.01.2022, Theater Felina-Areal Revival: 04.05.2023, KunstKulturKirche Allerheiligen Email
After the successful performances of ROTATIONAL DISTANCE at the Gallus Theater Frankfurt and Theater Felina-Areal Mannheim 2022, the revival is taking place at the KunstKulturKirche Allerheiligen.
Through Oberscheven's process-oriented approach in the choreographic context, ROTATIONAL DISTANCE II understands itself as a development. It is based on the principles of Edward T. Hall's "public distance zones" and his own observations of physical/ social distancing in the (post-)pandemic period. Together with the Frankfurt dancer Mirjam Motzke, Oberscheven creates an interplay of rotational movement patterns, axis displacements in the body, approach points as well as contact points to and with each other in small and large distances. The dance is choreographed to compositions from Morton Feldman's "Early Piano Pieces". Artistic director, concept, choreography: Richard Oberscheven
Dance: Mirjam Motzke, Richard Oberscheven
Music: Compositions from "Early Piano Pieces" by Morton Feldman
Production: richards choreografic productions
