In her solo performance remembering for tomorrow, Frankfurt-based performer, dancer, and choreographer Petra Lehr explores the development of the independent dance and theater scene since the late 1970s, a journey deeply intertwined with her own biography. A lifetime of artistic experiences and knowledge shapes the content and is expressed on stage with a quality and depth that would not have been possible in her twenties or thirties.

Petra Lehr belongs to the first generation of the independent scene, which sought not to fit into the established structures of the dance and theater world but to fundamentally change them. Through storytelling, acting, and dancing, remembering for tomorrow addresses the evolution of the independent dance scene since the late 1970s, cultural policies—especially in Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region—and her own work as a performer, dancer, and choreographer. The history of the Gallus Theater also plays a significant role in this piece.
