A large banquet hall shrouded in fog. The dancers Camilla Fiumara and Magdalena Dzeco are sitting on a table in the foreground of the picture. They are busy organizing the food and drinks. They are wearing long-sleeved dresses that seem to date from the early 20th century and their hair is braided into a long plait. Between them, in the distance, the silhouette of Sakurako Awano can be seen through the fog. She is wearing a traditional Bavarian dress. By Florian Krauß

Picknick is a dance music video that shows four dancers in traditional costumes in a picnic setting. The scenery is set to a song by the late rapper XXXtentacion and recorded as a one-shot. While two dancers meet to eat, open a bottle of champagne and toast each other, the other two move through a minimalist choreography that starts with taking a breath and speaks of sadness, speechlessness, emptiness and despair. Shifting the focus again and again, the camera shows the dancers trapped in a non-place and a non-time: an undefined, impersonal space and an apocalyptic-contemporary future. And asks how we treat each other today and what prospects there are for communication and cooperation with one another.
