Welcome to our Classroom of Monsters! Our workshops are open to everyone eager to create their own Halloween mask by imagining a unique role, background story, movements, and appearance. We embrace diversity and celebrate people with different abilities within our creative community.

The workshop is divided into two parts: first, you’ll develop your mask and character, and then you’ll bring that character to life on our fictional runway, specially prepared for the Halloween party.
We’ll be crafting costumes from old clothes, so if you’re ready to transform yours, bring them along! We’ve got all the tools you need to rework your wardrobe into something truly monstrous. Join us for a creative, inclusive, and fun-filled experience!

Information on accessibility
Wheelchair-accessible event room? (No steps or thresholds higher than 5 cm, doors at least 90 cm wide, wheelchair-accessible toilet, etc.)
The event is accessible for wheelchair users, but unfortunately the toilet is not.
Is spoken language used in the performance? If so, which one?
A mixture of simple German and English, everything will be translated.

Monsterhearts invites people with and without disabilities to participate in a series of workshops throughout the Implantieren festival. Participants are welcome to attend as many sessions as they wish, from 1 to 7, with dance, costume-making, and celebration taking center stage. This series will culminate in a monstrous Halloween party and performance on October 25, shaped by the encounters and experiences leading up to it. Inspired by myths of monsters, iconic gestures of drag, vibrancy of camp culture, and intersectional wisdom of feminist and queer thought, participants, together with the artists of Weird Sisters, will gather in a brave space—imperfect, yet full of purpose. In this space, celebration transforms into dialogue, where queer and crip perspectives intersect, exploring shared and divergent paths, experiences, and challenges. Special support will be provided for people with diverse disabilities.
