KOLONOS (WIEDERAUFNAHME)

Exiled and blind, Oedipus tries to escape the ruins of his life and finally die. The principle of linear generational succession has failed, the deliberate acts of killing have revealed their futility and blood ties become disastrous snares. Based on the Labdacus myth of Oedipus, the performers in KOLONOS explore the destructive power of sexual kinship and traditional family succession and search for alternative ways of living and surviving together.
