What is the value of artistic work for young audiences in the dance scene? What needs to happen so that engagement with young audiences is valued as much as it is for adult audiences? And how do children and young people perceive stage dance? We will be talking to Canan Erek about these and other questions at the next Dance Education Forum. Canan Erek has been the artistic director of the PURPLE dance festival in Berlin, which is aimed at young audiences, since 2017. At this forum, she will give us an insight into her work as a curator via her practical experience. The aim is to create an exchange, learnings from the past and new perspectives.

The Forum Tanzvermittlung offers artists involved in the activities of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main, as well as other actors in the region, the opportunity to exchange views on questions in the field of "mediation and participation" and thus to gain a reflective distance from their own work. As an open offer, the "Forum Tanzvermittlung" enables an intensive exchange on mediation issues, concepts and ideas and thus complements the project-related activities of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main in this area. The format is aimed at teachers, educators, artists, teachers, mediators and other interested parties. In dialogue with various regional or international actors, questions about mediation and cultural education are discussed and tested. The events are led by KINDERTANZT! actors, teachers and students of the MA CoDE - Master Contemporary Dance Education, team members of the Tanzplattform Rhein-Main or invited experts from the fields of dance art, education and upbringing.
