What is the relationship between the existence of a work of art and that of a living being? In the context of the book "The Different Modes of Existence" by the French philosopher Étienne Souriau, Tamara Goehringer asks in her language performance "Existence:1297" about the essence, the core of the book as well as the meaning of existence. She breaks the text down into its individual parts and searches for recurring patterns. Her repetitive recitation echoes through the space like an omnipresent mantra, imprints itself and creates an awareness of the here and now.
