A dance with myself

"Ein Tanz mit Mir" shows a "work in progress" of movement research by four urban dancers Lizzie, Junma, David and Nicki. They are shaped by many years of experience in urban dance culture. In the context of the stage, they use their style-specific techniques as a basis of expression and find ways to formulate the needs of their dance with each other and to transform them into exciting, aesthetic tensions. The production, which grew out of four personal stories from the first Lockdown, tells a deeply human response to sudden changes in life. Maintaining forms, breaking forms and creating new forms - this accompanies the dancers through their research time, during which they face the question of inner freedom.
