Portrait of Sebastian Schulz. He stands with his arms raised above his head, his face partially obscured by shadows. The overhead stage lights cast a stark contrast, emphasizing the contours of his expression. The background features rows of empty chairs in a dimly lit, industrial-style space. Photographer Florian Krauss is credited in the bottom left corner.

Sebastian dances! And he dances "the darkness"—dark emotions, sorrow, rage, the "evil"—but also party and excess. In Billinger & Schulz’s latest choreography, he delves into a personal exploration while confronting the turbulent depths of frustration and rejection experienced by boys and men today.
To the driving beats of Nightcore tracks—music that resonates within online male-dominated echo chambers—he navigates digital parallel worlds and social retreat spaces. He explores what it means to be a man in an era of progressive questioning and scrutiny, grappling with both evolving ideas of masculinity and its outright rejection. Engaging critically with the discourse surrounding so-called "toxic" masculinity, he seeks to expose its complexities rather than reduce it to a label.
Joining him on this journey are Jungyun Bae, Magdalena Dzeco, and Camilla Fiumara—figures seemingly plucked from the internet’s imagination, now brought to life on stage. As anime-like projections and long-standing artistic allies, they embody both fantasy and reality. Together, Billinger & Schulz explore the tension between rigid stereotypes and the undeniable fact that real relationships can only exist between real people—including the inevitable risk of rejection.
The three dancers become Sebastian’s sparring partners in an intense, breathless negotiation of relationships, shifting through ever-changing constellations that expose familiar conflicts while also opening doors to alternative dynamics and new possibilities.

Magdalena Dzeco, Jungyun Bae, and Camilla Fiumara (from left to right) stand closely together in an expressive formation. Jungyun Bae, in the center, wears a pink "Notre Dame" hoodie and a black cap, exuding confidence with crossed arms. Magdalena Dzeco, on the left, has voluminous curly hair and wears a rich-textured outfit with green and brown tones, gazing intently. Camilla Fiumara, on the right, wears a red top, layered silver chains, and a partially draped black jacket, looking directly into the camera. The dark background enhances their strong presence.
