The workshop offers an introduction to Butoh and the possibility to develop your creativity in new ways. With somatic bodywork and Qi Gong we get into movement, into a state of openness, so that every movement can go through the whole body. In small exercises we sharpen our perception and find an entry into movement that is not externally prescribed (choreographed) but the expression of an inner image/feeling. A Butoh Fu - an absurd sequence of images/story - allows us to enter deeply into the whole spectrum of our own expression. Away from judgements such as good/bad, beautiful/ugly, a dance between dichotomies emerges, a process of transformation and rediscovery. Butoh is suitable for all those who dare to tread new paths and want to be surprised by themselves. Physical limitations are not an obstacle in Butoh, but a spark that can ignite creativity.
